The Arkansas Department of Health has lifted a boil water order for a portion of the Sylamore Valley Water Association in Stone County.

The advisory was initially issued on October 7 following a main break that impacted customers in the area south of the railroad tracks along Arkansas State Highway 9. Water service in the affected area was subject to the boil order as a precautionary measure to protect public health.

The boil order has now been rescinded after required water safety testing confirmed it was safe for consumption, according to health officials.
