Batesville, Ark. — A 77-year-old local man remains in custody at the Independence County Jail after his arrest on multiple felony charges of sexual offenses.
Court records indicate Terry David Chandler was taken into custody on October 7 and charged with two counts of Class Y felony rape and one count of Class B felony second-degree sexual assault. The alleged offenses date back to July 1, 2020, when Chandler was 70 years old, according to the case documents filed on the same day as the arrest.
