Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) will host an Open House for prospective students and their families on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will take place in Roller Hall on the main campus and at the Dr. Robert L. Myers Technical Education Campus.
The Open House is designed to welcome individuals considering college for the first time, those exploring new career paths, or those returning to school after a break. Faculty, admissions staff, and financial aid representatives will be on hand to answer questions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet instructors, explore ASUMH’s academic and technical programs, and tour the facilities.
"Visitors can learn about our wide array of programs, meet our instructors, and get detailed information about registration," said Brooke Grissum, Director of Recruiting and Admissions. She emphasized that many students qualify for financial aid, making higher education more affordable than they might expect.
Nathan Lueck, Director of the Secondary Center, highlighted the significance of the Technical Education Campus, which offers programs tailored to career opportunities in the region. Visitors will have the chance to tour the campus and gain insight into these workforce-focused offerings.
In addition to the Open House, ASUMH will hold new student orientation sessions at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 12 for students already enrolled for the upcoming fall semester. Fall classes are set to begin on Monday, Aug. 24.
