During the Fulton County Quorum Court’s meeting this month, Treasurer Barry Abney reported a significant increase in sales tax revenue for the county. According to Abney, revenue climbed 8.5% in June compared to the same month last year and saw an additional 3% rise in July.
The court also received updates on several ongoing county projects. Officials reported progress on the countywide cleanup initiative and advancements in the implementation of a geographic information system (GIS) mapping program for the assessor’s office. The GIS program is intended to modernize and improve property assessment processes.
Additionally, the court approved a resolution for the Camp Fire Department, though specific details regarding the resolution were not disclosed during the meeting.
