A Harrison woman has been arrested after allegedly striking another woman in the head with a pan during a confrontation outside a local business. The suspect, 43-year-old Holly Irene Milliken, is being held in the Boone County Detention Center on multiple charges.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Harrison Police Department, the incident occurred when a 38-year-old woman was sitting outside a business waiting for a friend. The victim told police that Milliken approached her and started yelling, apparently upset about the man sitting next to her. Milliken then reportedly picked up a pan and threw it, hitting the victim in the head, before fleeing the scene.
Officers located Milliken a short distance from the business. Milliken told police she had been picking up trash and speaking with a group she claimed was mocking her. She admitted to throwing the pan in the direction of a female but claimed the object slipped in the rain, hit the ground, and bounced into the victim’s head. When questioned, she told officers she was "not sorry" and referred to the incident as "karma."
The victim was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, where she received treatment for her injuries.
Milliken faces felony charges of second-degree battery and recklessly causing an injury with a deadly weapon. Her bond has been set at $5,000. In addition, she is being held on a failure-to-appear warrant.
Court records show that Milliken has a prior criminal history in Arkansas. In 2017, she was arrested twice in Greene County on felony charges that included possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of an instrument of crime, and public intoxication. In those cases, she received a suspended sentence and probation.
