The Flippin Bobcats will open their boys’ basketball season on October 23 at the Bobby D. Hulse Classic hosted by Norfork High School. The team, led by head coach Josh Robbins, is aiming for another strong year after finishing the 2025-26 season with a 32-6 overall record and securing the 3A-2 district championship with a 13-1 conference record.
Robbins, now entering his 10th year with the Bobcats and his 24th as a coach, cited the team’s consistent success as a reflection of the program’s winning culture. Last season, the Bobcats earned several highlights, including a championship win at the Bad Boy Classic tournament in Highland and a qualification for the regional tournament.
This year’s roster is packed with talent, featuring players Truett Lindsey, Maddox Treat, Samuel Bradley, Beckett Chatelain, Cooper Morrow, Evan Benton, Colin English, Karson Benedict, Blayne Thompson, Peyton Moore, Tucker Thompson, Aidan Hodges, Paul Chism, Landon Booher, and John Burchfield. Robbins noted the team’s depth and versatility as key assets heading into the season.
The coach emphasized a fast-paced style of play focused on transition, ball movement, and an inside-out game plan. Defensively, Robbins expects his players to be aggressive and disciplined. With an eye on improvement, Robbins expressed optimism about the team’s potential to make a deeper postseason run, including a strong bid for a state tournament appearance.
The Bobcats will take the court next Monday in their season opener, stepping into the Bobby D. Hulse Classic ready to start their campaign for another successful year.
