Pleasant weather and a steady stream of visitors made for a successful day at the annual Ravenden Fall Festival on Saturday. The event featured a mix of food, entertainment, and unique attractions that drew families from across the region.
Among the highlights was local cook Mike Ross, who served free beans and cornbread prepared in a large iron pit. Ross, a seasoned participant in the festival, said he’s perfected his recipe over the years, making the beans and cornbread a reliable favorite for attendees.
The festival also hosted a car show, where Richard Comadoll of Imboden claimed first place with his Chevy C-10. Classic car enthusiasts gathered to admire a variety of vehicles displayed at the event.
This year, organizers introduced two new crowd-pleasers: a chainsaw competition and big tricycle races. Both events drew enthusiastic audiences, with the tricycle races providing plenty of laughs.
Vendor booths offered a range of products, while live music played throughout the day, adding to the festive atmosphere. The festival, a much-anticipated tradition in Ravenden, combined food, fun, and community, making it a standout event for locals and visitors alike.
