Entergy Arkansas has submitted a proposal to the Arkansas Public Service Commission to establish new base rates for its customers, set to take effect in January. According to the company, residential customers are expected to see minimal changes in their monthly bills under the new rate plan.

The revised structure is designed to enhance efficiency and provide innovative billing options aimed at maintaining affordability for customers, the company stated in its filing. Specific details of the proposed changes were not disclosed in the announcement, though Entergy emphasized its goal of balancing efficiency with affordability.

A public hearing to gather comments on the proposed rate adjustment is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. The hearing will take place at the Batesville Community Center, located at 1420 South 20th Street. This meeting will give residents an opportunity to voice their opinions and ask questions about the proposed changes.

Entergy Arkansas serves over 700,000 customers across the state, providing electricity to both residential and commercial users. The Arkansas Public Service Commission will evaluate the proposal and feedback from the public as part of its decision-making process.
