Together We Foster, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families in crisis, is asking for volunteers to assist with a variety of services across several Northeast Arkansas communities.
The organization welcomes adults aged 21 and older to contribute their time at its locations in Paragould, Jonesboro, Pocahontas, Rector, and Forrest City. Both daytime and evening opportunities are available depending on the volunteers’ schedules.
Volunteers can take part in an array of tasks, including sorting and hanging clothing in the group’s Clothing Closets, delivering freezer meals to families, or picking up and distributing furniture donations to those in need. Other roles include pulling together clothing for children newly entering the foster care system and delivering it to the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) offices for placements.
Those interested in joining the volunteer team will need to complete a volunteer packet, which includes a background and child maltreatment check, before they can begin. Details and applications are available by contacting Together We Foster at 870-476-6424 or via email at togetherwefosternea@gmail.com.
Together We Foster’s leadership expressed that their volunteers are essential to the organization’s mission and that each helping hand makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families within local communities.
