(Powhatan, Ark.) — Powhatan Historic State Park is inviting visitors to its annual “Ghost Walk” on Saturday, October 24, featuring guided tours through the historic buildings of the park and stories drawn from two centuries of local history.
The programs will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the park’s 1888 Courthouse and continue every 30 minutes until 8:30 p.m. Participants will hear ghost stories, folk tales, and legends related to the park’s past while exploring its historic structures. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children aged 6 to 12, with children 5 and under admitted free. No reservations are required to attend.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, grab some kettle corn, and join any of the tours. Parking is available in the lower area of the park. However, organizers caution that some historic buildings have limited accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Powhatan Historic State Park works to preserve and interpret the cultural, civic, and social history of the Powhatan area.
