The Mountain Home High School football team will travel to Siloam Springs on Friday night, seeking to extend their five-game winning streak. This marks the 48th meeting between the two programs, with the Bombers holding a 27-20 series advantage.

Mountain Home defeated Siloam Springs 33-0 in last year’s game and has prevailed in their last seven contests against the Panthers. However, this week poses an additional challenge for the Bombers: back-to-back road games, a scenario they haven’t encountered in recent seasons. Head coach Steve Ary emphasized the importance of adapting to consecutive weeks of travel.

“They’ll need to be ready for this challenge and learn how to handle these circumstances,” Ary explained.

Ary also highlighted the changes within the Siloam Springs program this year, including a new coaching staff and a revamped roster. Despite the adjustments, he expects a tough matchup against the Panthers, who employ a unique playing style Ary finds unusual in his 25 years of coaching.

“Our staff has been preparing for their approach and developing a plan,” Ary said.

This season, the Bombers have benefitted from several sophomores stepping into key varsity roles. Ary praised their progress and the impact they’ve had on the team’s continued improvement.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Glenn W. Black Stadium in Siloam Springs. A pregame show will air at 6:00 p.m. on Classic Hits 101.7. Fans can also stream the game through the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube, MHBomberSports.com, and the Mountain Home Athletics app.
