A 55-year-old woman from Lead Hill was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident in Boone County, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP). The victim has been identified as Rio Christine Ketron.
Authorities discovered Ketron’s body late Tuesday morning near the intersection of Arkansas State Highways 14 and 7 in a rural area of Boone County. It is unclear when the incident occurred, as the driver of the vehicle involved left the scene.
The preliminary report from the ASP notes that an investigation is underway, and Ketron’s body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for further examination.
