A two-vehicle accident shut down part of Old Greensboro Road in Jonesboro on Wednesday morning, prompting authorities to urge drivers to take alternate routes.
Jonesboro E-911 first reported the crash at approximately 11:07 a.m., according to officials.
Emergency crews have closed the section of Old Greensboro Road between Greensboro Road and Johnson Avenue. Two ambulances, along with police, fire personnel, and paramedics, responded to the scene.
As of late morning, the severity of injuries resulting from the crash remained unclear, according to dispatch reports.
Motorists in the area are advised to avoid the impacted section while first responders continue their work.
