The North Central Arkansas Home Builders Association will host its annual Fairways for Foundations golf tournament on Saturday at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Mountain Home. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for students preparing for careers in the building trades.
Association Executive Director Michele Linehan explained that the fundraiser focuses on careers that often receive less scholarship support compared to traditional college programs. This initiative aims to help students pursue opportunities in skilled trades critical to the region’s workforce.
The tournament will open with check-in at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Participants will enjoy breakfast, lunch, beverages, use of golf carts, and various hole contests, including a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one. Registration costs $600 per four-person team or $150 per player. Non-golfing attendees are welcome for a fee to help cover meal costs.
Board member Colton Kincaid shared additional details, noting that the event appeals to both golf enthusiasts and community members who want to support local students entering skilled trades.
