The Salem Lady Greyhounds have secured their place among the last four teams of the 3A-2 conference, earning a spot in next week’s regional volleyball tournament.
Salem defeated the Yellville-Summit Lady Panthers in straight sets Tuesday during the district tournament at Cave City. The Lady Greyhounds opened with a 25-20 win in the first set, followed by a commanding 25-14 victory in the second. They sealed the match by taking the third set 25-16.
With the win, Salem advances to face top-seeded Bergman in one of two semifinal matches set to take place today. The other semifinal will feature Valley Springs against Melbourne. Valley Springs earned their spot in the semifinals by defeating Cave City on Tuesday.
