A man from Cherokee Village has been charged in Fulton County with Obstruction of Governmental Operations and Terroristic Threatening in connection with an incident during a medical call.

According to authorities, John Stewart, 64, allegedly threatened a local fire chief and firefighter during the response. Stewart was arrested on Tuesday, July 28, and later booked into the Fulton County Detention Center. Records indicate that Stewart was released the same day and is scheduled to appear in Fulton County District Court on September 22.

The charges stem from an apparent interference with emergency personnel, though additional details about the incident have not been disclosed. Officials have not reported any injuries or disruptions to the medical call.

This case will proceed in district court, where Stewart will face the charges as filed by Fulton County authorities.
