The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches will hold its 31st annual Arkansas Children’s Award Dinner on Monday, Oct. 26, in the Grand Ballroom of the Little Rock Marriott. Entergy Arkansas CEO Laura Landreaux will be honored at this year’s event for her contributions to youth programs and children’s advocacy efforts across the state.
Former Arkansas Razorback broadcaster David Bazzel will serve as the master of ceremonies for the evening. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of live and silent auction items, which include a guided fishing trip on the White River, signed memorabilia, a duck hunt, and Dallas Cowboys tickets.
The event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Youth Ranches and its ongoing campus expansion efforts, which have seen the construction of three new homes over the past three years. Proceeds from the dinner are critical to the organization, accounting for approximately 10% of its annual operating budget. The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches operates as a privately funded nonprofit, providing free services to children in crisis and relying entirely on community support for its budget, which ranges between $2.5 million and $3.5 million annually.
Tickets for the fundraiser are available online. For more information about the event or the organization, visit youthranches.com.
