A new holiday-themed event is coming to Mountain Home next month, offering families a chance to shop early for Christmas gifts and enjoy festive activities.

The first Big Hat Merry Market is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at the Baxter County Fairgrounds in the Education Building. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to Amanda Coffman, president of the Arkansas State Police Foundation Troop I Spouses’ Auxiliary.

Coffman says the market will feature a variety of vendors, including soap makers, local boutiques, wreath makers, and personalized gift creators. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus during the day.

Organizers are still seeking food vendors for the event. Booth spaces are limited, and availability will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. The application deadline is October 20.

Those interested in reserving a booth can contact Coffman by texting 870-405-2673, emailing amanda.coffman@aspfoundation.com, or picking up a vendor packet at the Mountain Home Police Department.

The Big Hat Merry Market aims to create a festive atmosphere for the community while giving local businesses and artisans an opportunity to showcase their products.
