GREEN FOREST, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) are investigating the death of a Green Forest man following an alleged altercation at a residence on Highway 103.

Kevin Rogers, 61, was found deceased on the front porch of a home in the 3000 block of Highway 103 on Saturday, October 3. The discovery was made around 3 p.m. by a witness who contacted authorities after noticing Rogers’ parked pickup truck at the end of a driveway on nearby Carroll County Road 4351.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office requested support from ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID). Special Agents conducted interviews and located Rogers’ girlfriend, Ashley Hunt, 32, also of Green Forest. According to investigators, Hunt admitted to striking Rogers in the head with an object during a physical altercation.

Hunt has been taken into custody and is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on a charge of second-degree murder. Rogers’ body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where examiners will determine the official cause and manner of his death.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
