Two men from Pocahontas were arrested on July 29 in Randolph County on multiple drug-related charges, according to officials.
Jacob Stewart, 26, was charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to deliver in an amount greater than 14 grams but less than 4 ounces. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arthur Mills, 31, faces the same charges of possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Mills was charged with driving left of center and having an obstructed windshield.
Both men are being held in the Randolph County Detention Center as they await a bond hearing and court dates. No further details were immediately available.
Possession with intent to deliver is considered a significant offense under Arkansas law, with penalties increasing depending on the amount and type of substance involved. Law enforcement continues to address this issue within the region.
