A $500 winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in Yellville, marking one of four such tickets purchased in Arkansas since the October 2 drawing, according to state lottery officials. The other $500 winners were reported in Pine Bluff, Carlisle, and Little Rock.
The Mega Millions jackpot, which has been steadily growing since it was last won at $803 million in July, is set at $364 million for its next drawing on Friday night. To win the jackpot, players must match five numbers plus the Mega Ball number. Tickets cost $5 per play, and sales close at 9:45 p.m. on drawing nights. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m.
Adding to the weekend's excitement, the Powerball jackpot has surpassed $500 million, climbing to $516 million for Saturday night’s draw. Additionally, the Arkansas-exclusive LOTTO jackpot has reached $2.771 million, edging closer to a significant milestone of $3 million, which would mark one of the highest prizes ever for this game.
Lottery tickets for Mega Millions, Powerball, and LOTTO are available at licensed retailers across the state. Players can also purchase tickets through lottery retailer apps partnered with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery's "Play on the Go" program. More information about where to buy tickets is available on the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website.
