Mountain Home resident Cody Cormican secured an impressive 18th-place finish at the Optimist Junior Golf Tournament, one of the world's premier junior golf events. The tournament, held at Trump National Doral Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida, brought together elite young players from across the globe.
Several other area players also took part in the competition. Flippin’s Hudson Lindsey ended the tournament in 65th place, wrapping up the event with a gross par of +21. Meanwhile, Gainesville's Sam Wynn finished in 85th, concluding play at +32 gross par.
The annual Optimist Junior Golf Tournament is renowned for its competitive field and challenging courses, attracting some of the most talented junior golfers from around the world.
