A 19-year-old Salem man was arrested in Heber Springs earlier this week after allegedly attempting to sell drugs to an undercover law enforcement agent.

According to authorities, Dakota Thomas was apprehended during a sting operation conducted by the 16th District Drug Task Force. Details of the incident, including the type or amount of drugs allegedly involved, were not immediately available.

Thomas is currently being held at the Cleburne County Detention Center. Officials stated that he is awaiting a bond hearing and a future court date to address the charges.
