The City of Mountain Home issued 30 business permits in September, according to the Planning and Engineering Department. The newly permitted businesses span a variety of sectors, including construction, retail, food services, electrical work, professional services, and more.

Among notable new commercial permits, Aldi was awarded an alcohol retail license for its location at 45 Charles Blackburn Drive. Root to Rise Ozarks LLC, a business, commercial, and trade school owned by Stephanie Heiser, received a permit for 919 South Street. Catamount Constructors Inc., a general construction company owned by Michael Tokarz, lists its address in Texas.

Several other businesses also obtained permits, including Mountain Home RV LLC, a mobile home and trailer park owned by Virginia Ng at 628 County Road 390, and Staggs Construction, a remodeling-focused construction company owned by Matthew Staggs at 502 North College Street. Judicious Spirits Inc., an alcohol retail package store owned by Vanessa and Donnie May, is located at 3055 U.S. Highway 62 West. Cousins Maine Lobster, a national food vendor, received a permit for 124 Charles Blackburn Drive.

Additional businesses receiving permits include automotive supply store Bumper to Bumper No. 6008 at 700 U.S. Highway 62 East; Markham Restaurant Supply, specializing in heating and air conditioning, located at 420 South Fresno; and Hart Cards & Coins LLC, owned by Paul Hart at 368 North College Street. Other food vendors such as On the Hook Fish & Chips and Homestead Steaks LLC also opened for business, alongside The Lofts at 808, a short-term rental operation located at 810 South Baker Street and owned by Brad Schulz.

September also saw a wave of home-based businesses become established. These include Mountain Home Car Keys, a locksmith service owned by Charles Mears; Eagle Eye Construction LLC, specializing in new construction, owned by Timothy Jagneaux; and Davis Construction Inc., also focused on construction and owned by L.E. Davis. Additional businesses include Greene’s Lawn and Landscaping, owned by Thomas Greene, and Veracity Electric LLC, owned by Jesse Meeks.

Other home-based ventures opening include Unity for Our Community, owned by Marsha Dailey; Climate Realty Solutions, a heating and air conditioning operation owned by Jose Pagan; and Bourbon & Lace Boutique LLC, owned by Tracy Strain.

The permits issued span September 2 to September 29, underscoring the city's steady attraction for diverse business types and services. These developments support Mountain Home’s growing economic landscape.
