Taylor Swift is set to perform at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures announced Thursday. The high-profile fundraising event will take place Oct. 17 at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.
Swift’s performance comes just weeks after she released new music and received the first-ever VMAs Artist Director Honors at the 2026 Video Music Awards. The singer-songwriter's most recent performance occurred in August at the Grammy Museum, where she performed a medley of songs, including “All Too Well,” “I Knew It, I Knew You,” and “August.”
“Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world,” Academy Museum Director and President Amy Homma stated in a press release. “We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
This year marks the Academy Museum's sixth annual gala. Funds raised from the event will support the museum’s exhibitions, educational initiatives, and public screenings. Three prominent figures in film will be honored during the evening: filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, two-time Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo, and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron.
The gala will feature an extensive host committee that includes Jessica Alba, Jon M. Chu, Rami Malek, Kate Hudson, Regina Hall, and other notable names in film, music, and art. The event’s co-chairs include renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg, actress Kate Capshaw, and director Robert Rodriguez.
The Academy Museum Gala has become a central event in Hollywood, drawing attention to the mission of celebrating and preserving the art and history of cinema. The event provides significant funding for maintaining programs that engage and educate global audiences about the magic of film.
