SPRINGDALE — The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) is organizing a free maternal and women’s health expo aimed at linking expectant and new mothers, families, and support networks with critical health resources. The event will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at The Jones Center, located at 922 E. Emma Ave. in Springdale, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The initiative is part of ADH’s ongoing Claim Your Care campaign, which seeks to make health care and support services more accessible to women before, during, and after pregnancy. Local families will have the opportunity to meet with health professionals, connect with community organizations, and learn about the programs available in Northwest Arkansas. Information and services on maternal and postpartum health, WIC, family planning, breastfeeding support, and immunizations will be available.

The ADH has tailored resources for the needs of diverse communities in the region, including Marshallese and Hispanic families. In addition, Walmart has donated 100 size 1 diapers and 100 packages of baby wipes, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Registration is not required for the event, which is open to the public at no cost. During the expo, ADH Deputy Director for Public Health Programs Cassie Cochran will be available for interviews from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and media outlets are welcome to film or report on activities.

Additional details, including a media kit and event resources, are available at ClaimYourCareAR.com. For inquiries, contact the Arkansas Department of Health via email at adh.communications@arkansas.gov or by calling 501-554-6666.
