Volleyball teams across the Twin Lakes area are concluding their regular seasons this week and turning their attention to postseason competition. Several Arkansas and Missouri teams are poised to make strong runs following notable performances.

In Cotter, the Lady Warriors are 22-3 overall and undefeated in the 2A-2 conference with a 7-0 record. On Monday, they defeated Bergman 3-1 in four sets (25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21). The following day, they stepped out of conference play and fell to Harrisburg 3-1. Cotter won the third set 25-20 but lost the match with set scores of 15-25, 22-25, and 23-25. The Lady Warriors end their season tonight with a home game against Alpena.

The Salem Lady Greyhounds (11-8, 7-4) are currently in fourth place in the 3A-2 conference. Salem secured a 3-1 victory over Highland on Monday by winning sets one, two, and four (27-25, 25-22, 25-14) after losing set three (13-25). On Tuesday, they faced Walnut Ridge and were swept 3-0 (scores of 14-25, 16-25, 22-25). They conclude their season at home tonight against Valley Springs.

The Flippin Lady Bobcats (13-7, 8-3) are third in the 3A-2 conference standings. Their regular season finishes tonight with a home match against the Yellville-Summit Lady Panthers. The Lady Panthers (4-13, 4-7) currently hold fifth place in the conference. Earlier this week, Yellville-Summit fell to Melbourne in a tightly contested matchup, 3-2. The Panthers split the first four sets (25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 16-25) before losing the tiebreaker set 15-12.

The Izard County Lady Cougars completed their regular season with a win over Viola. The Lady Cougars (7-3, 5-3) sit in second place in the 2A-2 conference after sweeping the Lady Longhorns (25-12, 25-10, 25-11). Viola (5-12, 2-6) is in fourth place and will play their final regular season match against Mammoth Spring tonight.

On the Missouri side, the West Plains Lady Zizzers continue an impressive campaign with a record of 26-1-1 and a 4-0 standing in Class 4, District 6. They picked up two wins this week, sweeping Liberty 3-0 on Monday (25-22, 25-14, 25-17) and edging Marshfield in five sets on Tuesday (25-12, 25-18, 20-25, 20-25, 15-11). West Plains visits Hillcrest tonight and St. Francis Borgia on Friday.

The Ava Lady Bears (6-10-4, 1-4) sit in third place in Class 3, District 10 after defeating Mansfield 3-0 on Tuesday (25-20, 25-12, 25-20). They face Gainesville at home tonight. The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs (18-4, 1-0) are second in Class 2, District 8 and swept Dora on Tuesday (25-14, 26-24, 25-21). Gainesville travels to Ava for their final regular season contest.

The Bakersfield Lady Lions (6-12-2, 3-2) are third in Class 1, District 7. They swept Bradleyville on Monday (25-10, 25-8, 25-8) and close out their regular season at Mansfield tonight.

Postseason tournaments are set to begin next week, and teams across the region are refining their strategies and building momentum for the competition ahead.
