The Black River Technical College (BRTC) Foundation has introduced the Emilia “Emmy” Lambert Memorial Scholarship, established by the Laureate Beta Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi to honor the memory of its longtime member.

The $500 scholarship is intended for non-traditional female students pursuing studies in Nutrition and Dietetics at BRTC. The award will be distributed over the fall and spring semesters to assist women who are embarking on a new career path later in life or balancing the demands of work and family while furthering their education.

Emmy Lambert, a Pocahontas resident and dedicated volunteer, was known for her many talents as a substitute teacher, artist, and accomplished cook and baker. Above all, she was remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her legacy, marked by a passion for service and creativity, inspired the creation of this scholarship, which aims to support women striving to improve their lives and the lives of their families through education.
