WEINER, Ark. – Several streets in Weiner will close Friday as preparations begin for the 50th annual Arkansas Rice Festival.
City officials announced that streets in and around the festival area will start to close at approximately noon on Monday, Oct. 9. Motorists traveling through the area are urged to plan ahead for detours and increased traffic congestion due to the event. Limited vehicle access to the festival area is anticipated as the community gears up for the milestone celebration.
