JONESBORO — The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will hold a special infant formula distribution on Friday, October 9, in Jonesboro. The event aims to assist households in the region that are caring for infants and struggling to afford or access formula.
The organization has obtained supplies of Similac Dual Prebiotic Blend with Iron formula, a milk-based, ready-to-drink option. The formula is packaged in 8-ounce bottles, bundled in six-packs, for distribution.
The drive-through event will take place in the parking lot of the Allen Park Community Center, located at 3609 Race Street. Distribution hours are from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., or until supplies run out, according to the Food Bank.
No photo identification is required to receive formula, though recipients will be asked to provide basic information, including their name, address, and county of residence. While the effort is targeted toward families in Northeast Arkansas, anyone in need is welcome, regardless of their county.
