The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Cabaret of Curiosities Halloween Gala and Reverse Drawing on Saturday, October 17, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center, located at 1600 S. College Street.

This evening of festivities will include dinner, live entertainment, drinks, a silent auction, and Mountain Home’s inaugural $10,000 reverse drawing. Proceeds from the event will support the Chamber’s ongoing work within the community.

Individual tickets for the gala cost $125, covering dinner, drinks, entertainment, and one entry into the drawing. Guests can also choose the “In It to Win It” table for $1,300, which includes seating for eight guests, eight drawing entries, premium table placement, company recognition, a feature on social media, and a Champagne bucket for the table. The Chamber has capped ticket sales at 320 drawing entries.

In a reverse drawing, participants aim to keep their ticket number in play as others are eliminated throughout the evening. Once only five tickets remain, participants can decide whether to split the $10,000 prize or continue until a single number claims the total.

Entertainment for the evening will include a dueling pianos performance by The Square Piano and interactive acts by Twin Lakes Playhouse. Beverages will be provided by Rapp’s Barren Brewing Co. and Bayman Liquor. Guests are invited to embrace the theme of “elevated Halloween elegance” by reimagining classic Halloween characters, literary legends, or mysterious figures through formal and vintage-inspired attire. A vampire in velvet or a fortune teller in rhinestones are just some examples suggested by organizers. Formal, cocktail, or business casual attire is also welcome.

Businesses are encouraged to join the event by donating silent auction items, such as experiences, baskets, or gifts valued at $500 or more. Participating sponsors will have their name or logo featured alongside their donation, with additional recognition on auction materials and social media. Donor items may also include promotional material to be shared with attendees.

The Chamber expressed its gratitude to Century Bank of the Ozarks for sponsoring the Cabaret of Curiosities, with additional support from Plant Family Therapeutics.
