Mountain Home sent its 7th grade, 8th grade, and junior varsity football teams to Batesville Southside on Monday evening for a trio of matchups. The 7th grade squad remained undefeated, while the 8th grade and junior varsity teams came up short in their respective games.

The night began on a high note for Mountain Home, as the 7th grade Bombers secured a 20-0 victory. Mason Sanders led the effort with two touchdowns, and Isaac Ade added another to propel the team to its sixth win of the season. The 7th grade Bombers will play next week against Jonesboro at Bomber Stadium.

In the 8th grade game, Mountain Home trailed 8-6 at halftime after a touchdown in the first half. However, the Bombers were unable to score in the second half, ultimately falling 20-6 to the Southerners. The 8th grade team's record now stands at 4-4-1 for the season.

The evening concluded with an unusually timed junior varsity game that featured a running clock throughout. After a scoreless first quarter, all of the scoring occurred in the second quarter. Mountain Home struck first with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Maddox Haynes to Westin Potter, taking a 6-0 lead. However, Southside quickly answered with a 66-yard touchdown run by Juju Brooks, giving the Southerners a 7-6 edge. Neither team scored in the second half, and Southside held on for the win. Mountain Home's junior varsity record stands at 3-3. The JV team will return to action on Monday, hosting Harrison at Bomber Stadium.
