The Izard County STEM School is celebrating Spirit Week with themed dress-up days and community activities leading up to the school’s homecoming football games on Friday night.
Each day of Spirit Week features a different theme. Students were encouraged to wear their class colors on Monday, camouflage attire on Tuesday, and professional or business-casual clothes for “Zoom Meeting Day” on Wednesday. Thursday marks Neon Day, inviting bright, colorful outfits, while Friday’s Spirit Day invites students to wear Cougar black and gray to show their school pride.
The Spirit Week celebrations will culminate on Friday night at Cougar Stadium, where the Junior Cougars and the Cougars varsity football team will host Johnson County Westside for the homecoming matchups.
Fans unable to attend the games in person can stream them live online through My Hometown Radio Stations. To access the broadcasts, click on the Cougar mascot icon on the website. Play-by-play commentary for the games will be provided by Billy McBride.
Community engagement and school pride are key components of Spirit Week, which encourages students, staff, and families to rally together and celebrate the homecoming festivities.
