The annual Lighting the Way to Foster Care tournament hosted by Little T’s Mini Golf has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 25. The decision to move the event was made after discussions with The Call in Baxter and Fulton Counties, according to a social media announcement by the course.
The tournament is a key component of Little T’s fall fundraiser for The Call, an organization dedicated to recruiting and supporting foster families in the two counties. In its second year, the tournament follows the conclusion of Little T's painted pumpkin contest, which marked its fifth year and ran through October 2. Winners of the pumpkin contest were set to be announced on October 4.
The pumpkin contest allows participants to decorate artificial pumpkins, which are then dropped off at Little T’s for voting. Votes are priced at $1 each or 10 votes for $5. While the 2024 pumpkin contest had fewer entries than previous years, it still raised $4,591, surpassing the $3,400 collected in 2023. The inaugural contest in 2022 saw over 55 pumpkin entries and raised nearly $4,000.
All proceeds from the fundraiser benefit The Call, which currently oversees 26 homes providing care to 41 children and teens across Baxter and Fulton Counties, highlighting the growing need for foster family support in the region.
Little T’s Mini Golf, originally named All About Fun, is located on Highway 5 in Mountain Home. The course was purchased in 2022 by Scott and Brandi Tavegia, who renamed it after their son, Andrew. Individuals interested in contacting Little T's can call 870-701-3066.
