The inaugural Arkansas Ozarks Outdoor Expo is taking place this weekend at the Baxter County Fairgrounds in Mountain Home. Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, the event will highlight regional outdoor activities while raising funds for Connected Families, a foster care organization serving all 75 counties in Arkansas.

The two-day expo will include a variety of outdoor vendors, both local and national, as well as exhibits showcasing hiking and cycling trails around the Twin Lakes area. The exhibit hall at the fairgrounds will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Activities begin on Saturday morning with a fun run and walk along the trails at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. Attendees can also enjoy live music from 7th Street Band, a group based in Harrison.

The event will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. All proceeds will go toward supporting Connected Families' mission to provide services and resources for foster care across the state.
