A second individual with ties to Izard County has entered a guilty plea in federal court related to an alleged drug trafficking operation centered in Baxter County.

Kadence Martin, 21, pleaded guilty to the charge of misprision of a felony, acknowledging that she had knowledge of the drug operation and took actions to conceal it instead of reporting it. According to court records, this charge carries a maximum sentence of three years in federal prison. A date for Martin’s sentencing has not yet been set.

Martin is also scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court Criminal Division on November 8.

Her co-defendant, 22-year-old Cameron Baker Jr. of Calico Rock, previously pleaded guilty to federal charges linked to the operation on September 21. Like Martin, Baker has not yet been scheduled for sentencing.

The case involves three additional individuals from Baxter County, all of whom face charges in both state and federal courts. Details surrounding the broader case or the charges against these individuals were not disclosed in the report.

Federal authorities and local law enforcement continue to handle proceedings in this multi-jurisdictional investigation.
