Sharp County authorities conducted an extensive offender compliance operation over the past several days, resulting in multiple arrests tied to violations of sex offender registration requirements and related criminal charges. The effort, led by the Sharp County Sheriff's Office and supported by multiple law enforcement agencies, aims to monitor compliance among registered sex offenders in the area.

Sheriff Shane Russell confirmed the operation remains ongoing, with additional details expected in a formal report next week. Arrest documents revealed that a number of registered offenders in the county have been detained this week on charges including failure to register and failure to comply with reporting requirements.

Among those arrested and booked into the Sharp County Detention Center were:

- **Jeffery Dean King**, 46, of Smithville, identified as a Level 3 High Risk offender by the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC), was booked on Wednesday. - **Jimmy Sterling Wyatt**, 72, of Cherokee Village, was charged with failure to register and failure to comply with reporting requirements. - **Alexander Riddle Armstrong**, 33, of Cherokee Village, previously convicted of second-degree sexual assault in February 2024, was booked on Tuesday. - **David Goldman**, 57, of Hardy, faces charges of failure to register and failure to comply with reporting requirements.

All four individuals remain in custody, awaiting their next court appearances.

Additional charges have also been filed in connection with some cases, including drug and firearm offenses. Further updates on the operation will be shared in the upcoming days.
