The Batesville Rotary Club’s annual Christmas assistance program for children in Independence County is now called the Batesville Rotary Gift Tree, and with the new name comes a streamlined digital application process for families seeking help this holiday season.

Applications for the program opened on October 1 and will be accepted through November 2. According to the Batesville Rotary Club, the new online system is designed to make applying more convenient and accessible for families across the county.

In addition to rolling out the digital application, organizers have launched a dedicated Batesville Rotary Gift Tree Facebook page, which will serve as the program’s primary information hub throughout the season. The page will feature updates on application deadlines, key program dates, and other announcements.

Later in the holiday season, the Facebook page will also provide information for community members interested in sponsoring a child. Details will include when children’s names become available for adoption and where those wishing to participate in the program can select names.

The Batesville Rotary Club emphasized that while the program’s name and application method have been updated, its mission remains the same: helping children across Independence County experience the joy of Christmas.

Organizers are encouraging residents to follow and share the Batesville Rotary Gift Tree’s social media page to help spread the word to families in need throughout the community.
