The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has scheduled two public involvement meetings to gather input on a proposed connector road between Jonesboro and Osceola. The meetings are part of a planning study to develop the future roadway.

The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Allen Park Community Center, located at 3609 Race Street in Jonesboro. A second meeting will follow on Tuesday, Aug. 18, during the same hours, at the Osceola Community Center, located at 382 Country Club Road in Osceola.

ARDOT also announced that an online option for public input will be available. A dedicated project website will go live on Aug. 7 and will remain open until 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 2, allowing community members to review details and offer feedback.

The meetings will offer residents an opportunity to learn more about the planning process and share their perspectives on the proposed connector, which aims to improve regional transportation.

For further updates, ARDOT encourages those interested to monitor their website or attend one of the scheduled in-person forums.
