Two people were killed in separate crashes in Izard and Fulton counties over a three-day period, the Arkansas State Police report.
The first incident occurred Saturday morning in Calico Rock, where Myra Fay Terry, 68, was involved in a fatal single-vehicle accident on Arkansas Highway 5 North. Authorities said Terry was traveling south when her 2009 Kia Sportage left the roadway while navigating a curve near Churchill Street. The vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree. Weather conditions at the time were reported as cloudy, and the roadway was dry, according to the state police’s preliminary crash report.
On Monday, a second fatal crash occurred in Fulton County near Viola. Devin Graham, 32, of Hardy, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 62 at Fawnwood Road. According to state police, Graham was driving a 2004 Honda westbound when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2006 Mercury. The driver of the Mercury, identified as Steven Kirk, 59, of Melbourne, sustained injuries and was transported to Baxter Health in Salem for treatment.
Both incidents are under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
