Two Poughkeepsie residents were arrested Tuesday, September 29, 2026, on multiple charges related to controlled substances, according to the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Reed Troop, 35, was charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, manufacturing a Schedule VI controlled substance (felony), and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with the purpose to deliver (felony).
Reba Troop, 65, was also taken into custody and charged with manufacturing a Schedule VI controlled substance (felony).
Both individuals are currently being held at the Sharp County Sheriff’s Detention Center. They are awaiting a bond hearing and upcoming court dates.
This arrest is part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address drug manufacturing and trafficking in the region.
