A Hardy man died Monday morning following a head-on collision involving his motorcycle and another vehicle near Viola.
According to a preliminary crash report from the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m. on U.S. Highway 62 at its intersection with Fawnwood Road. Devin Graham, 32, was traveling westbound on a 2004 Honda 1300 motorcycle when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 2006 Mercury sedan driven by Steven Kirk, 59, of Melbourne.
Graham suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated. Kirk sustained injuries and was transported to Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital in Salem for treatment. His condition was not immediately available.
State police noted that weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by Arkansas State Police.
