Kennedy Horn, a senior forward for Arkansas State University, has been named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week following her standout performance that included a five-point showing in the team’s 3-2 victory against the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) on Sunday.
Horn contributed to all three Red Wolves goals during the match. She assisted on the first goal, connecting with teammate Tindra Cederholm for her second assist of the season. Later in the game, Horn recorded her third multi-goal performance of her career—and her first this season—by scoring twice to secure the win.
Her first goal came from a redirected header off a corner set piece, while her second sealed the game late when she charged a rebounded penalty kick and sent the ball into the back of the net.
Currently, Horn leads Arkansas State in goals (4) and points (10), and she is tied for the most assists on the team with two. She has also contributed to two of the Red Wolves’ game-winning goals this season.
