High school basketball season is set to begin in just three weeks across the Twin Lakes area, with local teams gearing up for a series of opening games this October.
The Cotter Warriors will host Bay on October 22 before traveling to Omaha on October 23 and Lead Hill on October 27. The Lady Warriors will begin their season on October 27 with an away game against Lead Hill.
The Flippin Bobcats will open their season at home with a matchup against Tuckerman on October 23. They will also host Kingston on October 29, followed by Omaha on October 30. Meanwhile, the Flippin Lady Bobcats are scheduled to play their first game at home against Kingston on October 29.
The Norfork Panthers are set to start their basketball season on the road at Greers Ferry West Side on October 27.
The Viola Longhorns will begin their season slightly earlier, playing at Maynard on October 20. They will then host Mountain Home Christian Academy on October 22, Jasper on October 23, and travel to Hillcrest on October 30.
The Calico Rock Pirates kick off their season at home with consecutive matchups, hosting Greers Ferry West Side on October 23 and Lead Hill on October 29.
Finally, the Timbo Tigers will open their campaign with a series of away games, traveling to Deer on October 23, Mount Judea on October 27, and Alpena on October 29. They will then return home to face Lead Hill on October 30.
Local high school basketball fans can look forward to another action-packed season as teams from across the area compete for early victories and build momentum in the weeks ahead.
