The Mountain Home Junior High School volleyball teams wrapped up a busy stretch of matches Tuesday, facing Jonesboro MacArthur on the road. The 7th, 8th, and 9th grade Lady Bombers showcased their skills, earning two victories and a draw across the three matchups.
The 7th grade team played a competitive match that ended in a draw, with scores of 24-26 and 25-10. Elliot Decker led the Lady Bombers with 4 assists, 2 kills, and an impressive 9 aces.
The 8th grade squad delivered a dominant performance, never trailing in the first set, which they secured 25-6. They closed out the match with a tighter second set, winning 25-22. Emma Campbell provided 12 assists and served 4 aces, while Laila Baxter, Anna Carlson, and Alivia Garner each recorded 4 kills. The victory improved their season record to a perfect 9-0.
In the 9th grade match, Mountain Home battled through three sets to secure the win. After dropping the first set 19-25, the Lady Bombers rallied to take the second set 25-21, forcing a decisive third. They closed out the match with a 15-11 victory. Allyson Crooker notched a double-double with 13 assists and 10 kills. Harper Hutchens contributed 20 digs, while Grace Rosenlof and GracLyn Whitaker added 6 kills each. The 9th grade team improved to 5-1 in 5A-East conference play with the hard-fought win.
