A detailed discussion on Boone County's current issues and future plans will take place Thursday during the annual State of the County Breakfast in Harrison. Scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the UA Northark JPH Conference Center at 1515 Pioneer Drive, the event is sponsored by Nabholz Construction Corporation and hosted by the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Boone County Judge Mitchell Archer will lead the event with an update on critical topics, including county budget concerns, rising equipment costs, road projects, and 911 Central Dispatch services. Archer will also address the upcoming Jail Sales Tax initiative, which will go before Boone County voters in November.
A panel featuring various county elected officials is expected to provide additional insight into ongoing work across county government. Discussions will highlight services directly impacting local businesses and residents.
