The Clarkridge Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Safety Day event on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its station located at 12101 Highway 201 North in Clarkridge.
The event aims to promote fire prevention and safety awareness within the local community. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour fire department trucks and equipment, watch fire suppression demonstrations, and receive fire safety tips and planning advice directly from firefighters.
Activities for children are also planned, including games and hands-on engagements designed to teach safety in a fun way. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be available to all visitors.
Additionally, a drawing will be held at the event, with the prize being a safety-themed basket provided by the department.
The organizers encourage local residents to attend, learn valuable safety practices, and engage with the community's first responders in a family-friendly atmosphere.
