Mountain Home High School has kicked off its homecoming celebrations for 2026 under the theme “Bombers Take Flight.” Festivities will culminate with the crowning of this year’s homecoming king and queen on Friday evening, just before the Bombers take on Russellville in their annual homecoming football game.
The 28-member homecoming court gathered earlier this week for its official portrait. The court will be presented to the student body during a pep rally in the school gym Friday afternoon, followed by pregame activities at Bomber Stadium beginning at 6:30 p.m. The king and queen will be crowned at 6:45 p.m., ahead of the 7 p.m. kickoff.
The senior maids for 2026 include Miley Epps, Lucy Koehn, Laney Lueck, Mary Charles McConnell, Ellie Miller, Caylee Simmons, and Maddie Simmons. The senior knights are Aiden Burns, Hunter Coy, Russell Hargett, Anthony Jones, Levi Payne, Ian Pierce, and Gus Wilber. Several seniors—including Lueck, McConnell, Miller, Hargett, and Wilber—also served on the homecoming court last year as juniors.
Junior representatives on the court include maids Brylee Blasdel, Ava Caples, and Jade Taylor, along with knights Saxton Bodenhamer, Ryan Cooper, and Luke Hilvert. Sophomore representatives are Jocelyn Green, Lily Pemberton, Jax Luna, and Oakley Recktenwald, while freshmen Taylor Cotter, Sophia Stewart, Bennett Newton, and Uriah Sabo round out the court.
Homecoming spirit week began Monday with a “Lost Luggage” theme, encouraging students to wear mismatched clothing. Tuesday’s theme was “Cloud 9,” featuring outfits inspired by the sky. On Wednesday evening, the school held a homecoming parade through downtown Mountain Home at 6 p.m., followed by a powderpuff football game and a community pep rally at Bomber Stadium. Thursday’s theme is “Top Gun,” with students dressing as pilots, flight attendants, or airport workers. Friday wraps up spirit week with students wearing homecoming shirts or Mountain Home’s blue and gold colors.
The week’s festivities will conclude Saturday with a semi-formal homecoming dance for sophomores, juniors, and seniors from 7 to 9 p.m. in the high school. Tickets, which cost $10, are available in the school library. Only Mountain Home students with a valid ticket and student ID will be admitted, and no outside guests are permitted.
Last year’s homecoming king and queen, Jeb Cullipher and Olivia McCoy, will pass the crown to their successors during Friday night’s pregame ceremony. The Bombers will then take to the field to face off against the Russellville Cyclones.
