Walnut Ridge residents are gearing up for the town’s annual Trunk or Treat event, hosted by the Kiwanis Club, on Friday, October 30, 2026. The Halloween celebration will take place near Beatles Park on Abbey Road and promises an evening of safe, family-friendly activities for local children.
The event is open to individuals, families, businesses, civic groups, schools, churches, and sports teams interested in setting up decorated booths to distribute candy and provide entertainment. Participation is free, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each booth space measures 12 by 20 feet, enough to accommodate a parked vehicle, and participants are asked to include a simple game or activity for children aged 2 to 10. All booths must adhere to a Halloween theme.
Safety measures will be in place, with no vehicle traffic allowed in or out of the area between 4:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Participants are encouraged to prepare for hundreds of trick-or-treaters by bringing plenty of candy.
