A boat and truck that belonged to the late Don Webb, a revered Bomber baseball coach and Mountain Home City Council alderman, will be auctioned Oct. 1 during Mountain Home's Homecoming Week. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mountain Home Education Foundation, funding scholarships in Webb's name.
The auction will feature a 2019 Supreme L42 boat with a 15-horsepower Mercury four-stroke motor, an Eazy Loader trailer, and a custom-made cover. Together, these items carry a fair market value of $12,000 and will be sold as a single package. The minimum bid for the boat is set at $6,000.
Also up for bid is Webb’s 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 regular cab pickup. The truck, which has approximately 149,665 miles, features a 4.3-liter V6 engine, automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and AM/FM stereo with a cassette player. The Silverado has a fair market value of $8,000, with a starting bid of $5,000.

Webb, who passed away in June, was cherished as a coach, mentor, and pillar of the community. He retired from leading the Mountain Home High School baseball program in 1995 and later served as a city alderman. Allyson Dewey, Superintendent of Mountain Home Public Schools, called Webb “a legend who embodied the true spirit of a Bomber.”
The auction provides an opportunity to continue Webb’s legacy by supporting the education of future students. Among those influenced by Webb was Ron Czanstkowski, a former player who later joined Webb’s coaching staff and succeeded him as head coach after his retirement.
